With an aim to transforming India into a digitally empowered country, Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Paramedical Sciences (SRMS IPS), Bareilly is proud to be part of the ‘DigiShakti’ programme launched by the UP government, under the visionary leadership of Honorable Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath. Under this program, SRMS IPS organized a ‘Smartphone Distribution Ceremony’ as a part of DigiShakti programme under Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme, and distributed tablets and smartphones to our youth.
In alignment with the vision of Digital India & UP Government Free Tablet Smartphone Yojana 2022- 2023, the program aimed to distribute smartphones to students studying in educational institutions in UP, empowering them with technical skills to enhance their knowledge and facilitate access to information and communication technologies. However, over 100 smartphones were distributed to final-year students of SRMS IPS by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust in the presence of Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor; Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Principal IPS; Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; & several others.
Towards the end, Shri Dev Murti delivered motivational address, wherein he advised students to use their smartphones constructively, avoiding any misuse. He also highlighted that these smartphones would not only provide updates on government schemes & programs, but also deliver information about classes, syllabus, etc through flash messages from their respective institutions. The event proved to be significant towards promoting digital empowerment, paving the way for a digitally empowered nation.
