ABOUT THE SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY BAREILLY
Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), established in 1996, has an independent residential campus spread over 35 acres of land with all-weather roads, lush green lawns, playgrounds, Multi-Purpose Hall, Gymnasium, Squash Court and 53020 sq.m. of built-up area on the campus. The college offers courses of undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a professional or vocational orientation to internationally recognized standards of excellence. The college inculcates values and ethics in its students so that the pride of SRMS CET may become an asset of our Nation. The College has demonstrated perennial evidence for merit and quality. It is developing by leaps and bounds in terms of infrastructural facilities and human capital not only to fulfill the requirements of the current technological status but also to set itself as a teaching and research centre of eminence in future.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Established in the year 2000, the Department of Pharmacy at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly, is dedicated to nurturing competent pharmacy professionals equipped with scientific knowledge, practical skills, and professional values. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the department is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. Pharmacists, as the “Medicine Experts,” play a vital role in developing life-saving drugs, ensuring the safe use of medicines, and contributing to public health. With this vision, the department combines Outcome-Based Education (OBE), hands-on training, and industry exposure to prepare students for careers in pharmaceutical sciences, research, and healthcare practice. SRMS College of Engineering & Technology , Bareilly offers B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) programmes, approved by PCI and affiliated with AKTU, Lucknow.
ABOUT BAREILLY
Bareilly, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, is strategically situated on National Highway 24 (NH-24), approximately 250 km east of New Delhi and 250 km west of Lucknow. The city serves as an important educational, cultural, and commercial hub in northern India. Bareilly is surrounded by several renowned tourist destinations, including Dudhwa National Park, Nainital, Ranikhet, Jim Corbett National Park, and the revered Alakhnath Temple. The city is also home to prestigious academic and research institutions such as Bareilly College (established over 150 years ago), the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), the Central Avian Research Institute (CARI), and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU). Bareilly is widely recognized for its rich cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship, particularly its exquisite Zari embroidery, cane furniture, and the famous Bareilly Surma, which have earned the city national recognition.
