Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) College of Law, Bareilly commemorated World Environment Day with an engaging ‘Plantation Drive’ at its lush-green campus, symbolizing the institution’s commitment to restoring & preserving the environment. Based on this year’s theme, ‘Land Restoration, Desertification & Drought Resilience,’ the drive aimed to raise awareness about crucial environmental issues like climate change, global warming, extreme weather conditions, imbalanced ecosystems etc.
During the drive, Dr Sushil Kumar Sharma, Principal, SRMS College of Law emphasized upon the urgent need to mitigate the ill-effects of environmental concerns, preserve the planet’s health& encouraged students to adopt sustainable practices. Following this ,faculty members & students of the college actively participated in the plantation activity, planted various saplings while enhancing the campuses’ green cover .Overall, the plantation drive was a collaborative initiative, with enthusiastic involvement of students, faculties as well as staff, who successfully promoted environmental consciousness and community engagement, making environment day celebration a significant day to address environmental challenges, and contributing towards sustainable environmental practices.
