SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), Bareilly marked International Women’s Day with Role Play Competition to honor the strength, resilience, achievements of women. The competition was designed to strengthen the coherence between SRMS Trust Institutions and the United Nations SDGs, emphasizing upon the importance of gender equality and women’s empowerment (SDG-5).
Centered on the theme Women Empowerment, Leadership & Achievements, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation of students from various SRMS Trust Institutions including SRMS IPS, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS)
, SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET) , SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR) and SRMS College of Nursing . The participants showcased remarkable acting skills and portrayed real-world challenges and struggles faced by women globally, particularly in the areas of leadership, education & economic empowerment. Finally, SRMS College of Nursing, comprising of Vedika, Karina, Smith & Vishwadeep bagged the first prize, based on their creativity, expression, relevance to the theme & dialogue delivery. On the other hand, Vedika, Shashank, Niyati & Tanay from SRMS IMS & from IMS clinched second & third positions respectively.
The event was graced by Dr Jaspreet Kaur , Principal IPS; Dr MS Butola , Principal IMS; Rohitash Gangwar, DSW IPS & several others. The competition was adjudged by Prof Dr Muthu Maheshwari , Principal, SRMS College of Nursing; Dr Arti Gupta , Director Pharmacy & Professor Meenakshi Jindal , Department of Pharmacology, IMS.
