The Voluntary Blood Donation Camp conducted by Department of Transfusion Medicine at SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly on May 10, 2023 was a tremendous success that witnessed an overwhelming response with active participation from MBBS students, who voluntarily and selflessly displayed the spirit of humanity as active donors, and also encouraged their peers and community to join this noble cause. Organized under the guidance of Dr Milan Jaiswal, Professor& Head of Department of Transfusion Medicine, SRMS IMS, Bareilly, the atmosphere at Blood Donation Camp was filled with an incredible sense of unity & compassion, and collected about 90 units of blood to meet the transfusion requirements of numerous patients suffering from various ailments.
With an aim to motivate students, the camp also had Poster Making & Slogan Competition, which was judged by Aditya Murti, Director Administration, SRMS IMS; Dr MS Butola, Principal SRMS IMS and Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent, SRMS IMS, who appreciated the relentless efforts of the department and motivated students to be active donors in future too.
Later, Dr Milan Jaiswal expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the energetic & collective participation of the students, especially Nitin Yadav, Rupali Gupta, Ankit Saini, Animesh Kumar & Ankita Singh, who played an integral role in smooth organizing of the event and touched countless precious lives.
