On the occasion of ‘International Day of Radiology 2022’ on November 8, the Department of Radio-Diagnosis at Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly conducted a CME at Mini Auditorium, 2nd Floor, SRMS Hospital.
The event began with the welcoming of dignitaries and guests on Dias by MOC, Dr Shreejee Garg of Batch 2020. The dignitaries present on stage were Aditya Murti, Director Administration; Dr SB Gupta, Principal SRMS IMS; Dr RP Singh, Medical Superintendent, SRMS IMS; Dr Piyush Kumar, Dean PG, Department of Oncology; Dr Lalit Singh, Department of Pulmonary Medicine; Dr SK Sagar, General Surgery; Dr Smita Gupta, General Medicine; Dr MP Rawal, General Medicine; Dr Tanu Agarwal, Department of Pathology; Dr Vandana Sardana, Department of Microbiology; Dr Kranti Kumar, Department of Physiology; Dr Sandeep Sen, Pediatric Surgeon; Dr Amit Singh, Department of Surgery; Dr Pawan Kumar, Department of Oncology; Priyanka and Neha, Faculty at SRMS IPS, along with PGs, Technicians of Radiology department and Paramedical students. Lamp-lighting ceremony was performed that was followed by Saraswati Vandana and Sansthan Geet, along with sampling presentation to the dignitaries.
During the event, Dr Namrata Singh, Assistant Professor, and Interventional Radiologist delivered a talk on Interventional Radiology Procedures and showed various cases done in the department over the last one year. Thereafter, Dr Neeraj Prajapati, Professor and Organizing Secretary delivered a talk on Cardiac Coronary CT Angiography and emphasized on the benefits of Cardiac CT as potent screening tool. Dr Sameer R Verma, Professor and Head & Organizing Chairperson delivered talk on Musculoskeletal Imaging and Advance CT and MR Imaging being done in the department including multi-parametric MRI, MR perfusion, DTI and Spectroscopy and application of Dual energy CT imaging. Overall, it was a great knowledge-gaining experience for everyone, which was later followed by a High Tea.
