A DAY OF SELFLESS & HUMANITARIAN SERVICE: SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES ORGANISES VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION CAMP AT ITS ENGINEERING CAMPUS

Adequate supply of blood & blood products is one of the greatest challenges faced by India due to the increasing requirement of blood by patients in need of blood transfusion. However, voluntary blood donation is the only means to ensure safe & adequate blood supply. In this endeavour, every year, Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly contributes towards the noble cause through various voluntary BLOOD DONATION CAMPS organized on October 1 & 2 to celebrate National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, Gandhi Jayanti & 35th Death Anniversary of Late Shri Ram Murti Ji, a veteran Freedom Fighter, Former Minister & ex-Parliamentarian.

Initiating the noble cause, this year, SRMS IMS Blood Bank, Department of Transfusion Medicine organized one of its camps at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly, wherein students as well as faculty members of various SRMS Trust institutions—SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR), SRMS College of Nursing, SRMS College of Law and SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), Bareilly gave active & voluntary participation.

The event began with inaugural of camp by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust in the presence of Dr Milan Jaiswal, HOD, Transfusion Medicine; Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics; Dr Anuj Kumar, Director TDP Cell; Dr Arti Gupta, Director Pharmacy & several other dignitaries. The event was a resounding success, marked by a remarkable step taken by both students & faculty members, who generously donated blood, reaffirming their commitment to humanity.
