SRMS COLLEGE OF LAW PROVIDES PRACTICAL EXPOSURE THROUGH VISIT TO NATIONAL LOK ADALAT

The SRMS College of Law, Bareilly is committed to providing its students with an excellent legal education. In order to provide its students with practical exposure to the alternative dispute resolution system, the college recently conducted a visit to the National Lok Adalat 2023, which was organized by District Legal Services Authority, Bareilly. This initiative was designed to help the students understand the functioning of the alternative dispute resolution system in India, and to provide them a hands-on experience of how the system works in practice.
In this knowledge-driven tour, Dr Ashok Kumar, Assistant Professor, Dr Rashmi Yadav, Lakhendra Kumar Chhokar, Rajesh Gupta and Anuj Kumar Singh accompanied and guided the law students regarding the ADR proceedings. In this National Lok Adalat, law students did not get only the opportunity to meet the judges, lawyers, advocates and legal professionals, but also observed nuances of the Alternative Dispute Resolution system.
During the visit, the students of the SRMS College of Law were given a detailed overview of the Lok Adalat system. They were able to observe the proceedings of a Lok Adalat and witness firsthand how disputes are resolved in this forum. The visit was an important opportunity for the students that helped to develop a deeper and nuanced understanding of the Indian legal system and challenges involved in resolving disputes in a fair and effective manner.The visit was a testament to the college’s commitment to providing its students with a well-rounded legal education that is grounded in practical experience and real-world learning.
