On account of International Day of the Girl Child, Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences (SRMS IMS), Bareilly recently organized a Reel Making & Poetry Competition, focusing on gender equality, girl child education & women empowerment. It was a thoughtful competition that saw participation of students from SRMS Trust Institutions, Bareilly — SRMS College of Engineering &Technology (CET) ; College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR) ; College of Nursing ; Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS) & IMS.
The Reel Making competition on ‘My Voice: Our Equal Rights’ aimed to amplify the importance of action, hope, and the power of girls’ voices in shaping a better future. During the contest, participants created concept-based reels of 30-60 seconds duration. Based on similar theme, students shared expressive and thought-provoking poems during Poetry Contest. Towards the end, Dr (Air Marshal) MS Butola , Principal IMS felicitated the winners with certificates & trophies.
SRMS IPS & IMS clinched first & second prize respectively in Reel Making, while Rishabh Verma from CETR grabbed first prize in Poetry recitation, who were adjudged on the basis of creativity, content relevance & technical quality.
