SRMS TRUST HONOURS ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AT 11TH CONVOCATION OF MEDICAL, PARAMEDICAL & NURSING INSTITUTIONS

In a spectacular showcase of academic excellence, SRMS Trust organized 11TH CONVOCATION for graduates of SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS) & SRMS College of Nursing, Bareilly at SRMS Engineering College, Bareilly, wherein, awards & degrees were presented to 335 students across various disciplines of MD/MS (Batch 2020-23), B Sc Nursing (Batch 2018-22) MSc Nursing (Batch 2020-22), MBBS (Batch 2018-23), Paramedical (Batch 2018 & 2019). Alumni (university toppers & star performers) were also felicitated with gold, silver, bronze medals & cash prizes.

The prestigious ceremony began with academic procession of dignitaries in robbing tent, followed by lamp lightning by Shri Dev Murti , Chairman SRMS Trust; Chief Guest Dr Sanjeev Misra, Hon’ble VC, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow & Dr (Air Marshal) MS Butola , Principal SRMSIMS. Aditya Murti , Trust Secretary gave a welcome address, while Dr Butola presented annual report & achievements of SRMS medical institutions. After delivering befitting convocation address, Dr Sanjeev Misra extended ‘Deeksha’ to degree recipients. Dr Butola administered NMC/ MCI oath. Thereafter, degrees were distributed, which was a moment of pride for recipients & their parents.

At the end, Shri Dev Murti presented memento to Dr Sanjeev Misra. Dr RP Singh, MS extended vote of thanks. The ‘36th Shradhanjali Samaroh’ of Late Shri Ram Murti Ji , held at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly witnessed two renowned dignitaries being awarded with prestigious ‘Ram Murti Pratibha Alankaran’ by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust, for their extraordinary contributions towards nation-building. Among the notable recipients were Dr Naresh, a renowned litterateur, poet, author & spiritual guide, and Dr Arjumand Zaidi, a dedicated social worker, geographer, educationist, environmentalist, human rights & global peace activist.

Expressing profound sense of admiration on receiving the award, Dr Naresh, who has authored 100+ books in English, Urdu, Hindi & Punjabi, along with 1000+ research articles published, said, “I feel privileged & extend my gratitude to SRMS Trust for acknowledging my work. SRMS is promoting humanity & values in our society with remarkable contributions in education, healthcare & social initiatives. Imbibing these ethics, we must embrace every individual with love & understanding, and treat others as we would want ourselves to be treated.”

Another recipient, Dr Arjumand Zaidi, conferred with a ‘Doctorate in Social Activism’ by World Peace of UN University, has been appointed Vice President of World Human Rights Protection Commission in collaboration with UN Human Rights Commission. During her address, she gave a global opportunity to nominate two students of SRMS Trust Institutions, who shall further represent at UN Headquarters. Speaking further, she added, “I’m grateful to Shri Dev Murti for this recognition & appreciate him for inculcating respect & values among youth that’s declining in today’s scenario. However, there is a dire need to educate them for a better global future.”

‘कजरी महोत्सव 2024’ AT SRMS RIDDHIMA: A SPECTACULAR CELEBRATION OF INDIAN FOLK MUSIC & MONSOON MAGIC!

Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi (UPSNA), Lucknow, Department of Culture, UP & Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya(BSVV), Lucknow in association with Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) Trust & collaboration with SRMS Riddhima- A Centre of Performing & Fine Arts, Bareilly recently organized ‘कजरी महोत्सव 2024’ at SRMS Riddhima, which saw enchanting performances depicting monsoon season, and were based on Indian Folk Music, especially ‘Kajri’-a soulful expression of marital love.

The evening began with lamp lighting by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust; Dr Shobhit Kumar Nahar, Director, UPSNA, Lucknow & Professor Jayant Khot, President, UPSNA, Lucknow, which further went on with soulful performance by renowned singer Astha Goswami from Vrindavan, who sang melodious Kajris’ like ‘Radhe Jhulan Padharo Jhuk Aaye Badra,’ ‘Baadal Garje Bijli Chamke’, ‘Sawan JharLagey Na Dhirey Dhirey etc. Ajay Prasanna, a flutist from Prayagraj / New Delhi entertained the audience with his flute performance. Vocalist Pandit Bholanath Mishra from Hariharpur/New Delhi continued the magic with his Kajri-based performance on ‘Aaye Nahin Sawariya’ & ‘Seth Ji Kahiya Dewa Hamro Saganwa Na’.Towards the end, akathak performance based on Kajri by Professor Bhavana Grover from Meerut was nothing short of magical, as her graceful movements and vivid expressions brought soulful rhythms to life.

Later, Shri Dev Murti along with SRMS Trustees – Asha Murti & Usha Gupta felicitated the artists and performers with mementos. Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) Trust commemorated ‘36th Punyatithi’ of Late Shri Ram Murti Ji — a veteran freedom fighter, Former UP Minister & ex-Parliamentarian on OCTOBER 2, 2024 at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly , to pay tribute to his selfless service & commitment to nation-building.

The day began with paying heartfelt homage to Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri & Late Shri Ram Murti Ji, by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust & Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary.

The ‘Shradhanjali Samaroh’ commenced with melodious musical performance by Gurus of SRMS Riddhima,, followed by acknowledging prestigious ‘Ram Murti Pratibha Alankaran’ to notable Dr Naresh, a litterateur, poet, author & Dr Arjumand Zaidi, a dedicated social worker by Shri Dev Murti, who highlighted Trusts’ achievements, including NBA accreditation to MBA Programme & installation of multiple Health ATMs & technological advancements at SRMSIMS. The event also saw felicitation of winners of Story Writing Contest & Debate Competition with certificates & cash prizes. Shivani Karki got first prize in story-writing, while SRMS CET & The Guru School grabbed ‘Chal Vaijanti’ trophy in debate competition (senior & junior category each). Dr Apoorva Maheshwari received ‘Special Prize’ of Rs 2 Lakh for securing Rank 143 in NEET PG.

The ceremony concluded with Distribution of Scholarships worth Rs3.5 CRORES to meritorious students of SRMS Institutions — CET, CETR, IMS, IPS, NURSING & IBS Unnao. Towards the end, vote of thanks was delivered by Aditya Murti.
