50 TEAMS. ONE DIGITAL BATTLEFIELD. A SAFER CYBER FUTURE STARTS WITH YOUNG MINDS at SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE

The first day of the two-day Cyber Hack Hackathon at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CET&R), Bareilly began with energy, ideas and a clear message that in a digital world, being cyber-aware is no longer an option; it’s a necessity.

Organised by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, the hackathon was formally inaugurated by Chairman, SRMS Trust, Shri Dev Murti, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony and ceremonial lamp lighting. Addressing the participants, Shri Dev Murti highlighted the growing importance of cyber and digital security, urging young minds to stay vigilant, strengthen their knowledge and take responsible measures to protect themselves and the digital environment around them.

With 50 teams from Bareilly and different parts of the country participating, Day 1 brought together enthusiastic young tech minds ready to learn, solve, experiment and put their technical skills to the test. The presence of senior dignitaries and academic leaders from across SRMS Trust institutions including Aditya Murti (Trust Secretary); Er Subhash Mehra (Trust Advisor) ; Prof Dr Prabhakar Gupta (Principal, SRMS CET) ; Dr MS Butola (Principal, SRMS IMS) ; Dr Shailesh Saxena (Dean, SRMS CET&R) ; Vishal Gaur (Director, GCL Cyber Council) ; Udit Narayan Gaur (CMO, GCL Cyber Council) further added to the spirit of the occasion.

And this is just Day 1…The ideas have started. The challenges are underway. The real cyber action continues…
