HACK THE WEAKNESS BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DOES: HANDS-ON CYBER SECURITY WORKSHOP at SRMS ENGINEERING INSTITUTIONS…

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security), at SRMS Engineering Institutions, in association with the Value Addition Cell and under the supervision of IIC-SRMS, organized a Hands-on Workshop on Cyber Security in collaboration with Thunder Cipher.

Designed for SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET) and SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR) BTech 2nd and 3rd Year students, the session focused on “Broken Access Control and Authentication Bypass: Two Critical Weaknesses in Web Security.”

Led by Khushi Patel, Executive, Thunder Cipher, the workshop gave students practical exposure to web application vulnerabilities, access-control weaknesses, and authentication and authorization risks, along with ways to identify and address common security gaps. Through expert guidance, live demonstrations, hands-on activities and interactive discussions, students strengthened their cyber-security awareness and technical skills while learning why secure practices matter at every stage of web development. Students received a hands-on on how when a system is vulnerable, that’s the first step towards making it stronger.
