SRMS IBS organised ‘Farewell 2024 – DASVIDANIYA-2.O’ based on theme OSCAR-“Every moment deserves a spotlight”, for outgoing UG {BBA/B.Com (H)} and PG {MBA} students on Saturday, 11th May, 2024. The Farewell had been one of the most awaited events in the academic calendar and true to its build-up, the event turned out to be extremely well-received by providing the outgoing students with wholesome entertainment and a real sense of belongingness. The beautiful and creative decoration by the junior team truly justified the theme of the event and proved to be eye-catching and worth memorizing. The mega-event had the inspiring presence of Prof. Shyamal Gupta, Director, SRMS IBS.
With the welcome for the seniors (Tilak & Welcome gift) done followed by grand opening of the event which included unfurling of the Flag of DASVIDANIYA-2.O’. The proceedings for the mega-event started off by invoking the Goddess of Knowledge, Maa Saraswati through traditional lamp-lighting by our esteemed Dean Sir and Faculty coordinators. This was followed by the Sansthan Geet (SRMS Trust Geet) and Murti Vandana (energetic dance performance dedicated on Ganesh Vandana)
Following on, the Ramp Walk furthered the exciting build-up and brought out the best statement moves from the outgoing seniors and a wonderful Skit on college life by juniors.
The second half added to the excitement further with Solo Song, Games, Group Dances, Group song, Title distribution, Poetry, and a Video down the memory lane for the seniors adding to the nostalgia. Rounding-off the event was the Vote of Thanks and Cake-Cutting.
Finally the event moved towards declaration and prize distribution of Ms. & Mr. Farewell for UG as well as PG along with special titles to deserving seniors. The titles are as follows-

Seniors were waved-off with the promise of meeting again. After all this is what ‘Farewell 2024 – Dasvidaniya’ reflected: Every moment deserve a spotlight. . The event left behind a trail of memories that will forever be cherished with the promise of meeting again.
