On March 20, 2025, a group of 40 enthusiastic BBA students embarked on an industrial visit to Amul, one of India’s most iconic dairy cooperatives. The visit provided a unique opportunity to witness the inner workings of a company that has revolutionized the dairy industry in India.
The students were warmly welcomed by Amul’s team – Mr. J.K. Upadhyay, Mr. Venkatesh Rajan and Mr. Harish Chaudhary, who introduced them to the cooperative’s history, values, and achievements. The visit began with a tour of the production facilities, where students observed the advanced processes involved in milk collection, processing, and packaging. They were impressed by the state-of-the-art technology and stringent quality control measures that ensure Amul’s products meet the highest standards.
An interactive session followed, where the students learned about Amul’s cooperative model, which empowers millions of farmers across India. The session also highlighted Amul’s marketing strategies, sustainability initiatives, and its role in the White Revolution, which transformed India into the largest producer of milk and milk products globally.
The visit was organized to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, offering students valuable insights into the operations of a successful business. It was an inspiring and educational experience that left a lasting impression on the participants, motivating them to apply these learnings in their future endeavours.
