THE BROKEN TELEPHONE (An event of PULSE, THE HR CLUB)

Living up to the hype generated in the lead up to the event, the high-octane, highly visible yet truly informative, “The Broken Telephone”, an event form the stable of Pulse, The HR Club at SRMS IBS, was organised on Saturday, 13th May, 2023 with great fervour and spirit. The proceedings got underway with the traditional Lamp Lighting by faculty members amidst the Saraswati Vandana.
As the name goes, Pulse is vital for the human body and drawing a parallel in an organisation, the employees are the pulse without which the organisation ceases to function. Spread across three rounds, The Broken Telephone was a perfect reminder of the significance of human element in an organisation.
With twelve teams (each having six members) in the fray, the afore-mentioned rounds served as an elimination with the final three teams (each having six members) making the cut. The first round, SCRIBBLE, the second round THE BALANCE MASTER, and the third and final round THE HUMAN TIC TAC TOE, all showcased different traits of HR liketeam work, non-verbal skills, coordination, authority, responsibility, balance, seizing the initiative, excel in decision-making, problem-solving, and sound strategic planning.
Elimination from the first round paved way for the second and further elimination led to the third and final round. At the end of the round, the final standings of the teams were ascertained as below:

The event ended on a highly promising note especially with its informative content on display and its reverberations are surely to be heard loud and clear in the future.
