“Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)” is an innovative programme sponsored and managed by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) for attraction of talent to innovation and research in science. The basic objective of this five days INSPIRE internship programme is to communicate to the young minds of the country the excitements of creative pursuit of science, attract talent to the study of science at an early age and thus build the required critical human resource pool for strengthening and expanding the Science & Technology system and Research & Development base.
This five days 7th Inspire internship programme 2018 was inaugurated on 13 July, 2018 at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology, Unnao. It is the 18th Inspire internship Camp of SRMS Engineering Institutions at Bareilly and Lucknow The programme started with students presenting bouquet to the dignitaries followed by lightening of lamp and Sarawasti Vandana. The chief guest of the programme was Shri Shyamal Gupta, Director (Administration).While welcoming the participants Dr. Anant Kumar Srivastava (Principal, CET Unnao) motivated the interns for career in science and research. Dr. Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics SRMSCET, Bareilly and Inspire Coordinators Er. Rateesh Agarwal, and Er. Sachin Agarwal also motivated the students. Total 156 meritorious students from different prestigious schools of Uttar Pradesh were present during the programme. These students will be given training with their stay in the institute during these five days.
Shri Shyamal Gupta, Director (Administration) welcomed all the students along with their teachers and parents in the inspire camp and made them believe that this programme will help the students to achieve success and guide them towards their goals.
Today our mentor for the First Session was Prof. Dr. Prabhakar Gupta, Dean SRMS CET Bareilly. He has more than 20 years of Experience, and publishes numerous no. of Research papers in various reputed journals in the field of mathematics. He presented some important aspects regarding the History and development of mathematics in front of Inspire Interns and motivates them for the same. He also presented various historical mathematical problems with their solutions to the Inspire interns. After that Second session was taken by Prof. Laxmi Kant Sharma. He is a member of National Academy and Council for Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh. He is awarded with the best science teacher award and he is also associated with Senior Resource Person, Centre for Development of Physics, University of Jaipur. His topic of talk was about the fundamentals of success. He talked about the five fundamentals of success that are Imagination, Creation, Knowledge, Skill and Action, following these fundamentals one can achieve great success in his /her life.
Various lab sessions in Computer science, Mechanics and Electronics were also organized for the Inspire Interns to give them Exposure about practical learning.
Inspire Coordinator Er. Rateesh Agarwal welcomed all the students and the guests. Er. Sachin Agarwal presented the basic idea of the inspire programme. Dr. Anant Kumar Srivastava, Principal of Institute encouraged students to become the future researchers and achieve their goals.
Many renowned academicians from different prestigious institutes and colleges will guide and motivate the young minds during next five days of this programme. Eminent mentors covering the disciplines like Physics, Chemistry, Life Science, Earth Sciences and Mathematical Science will motivate the interns to study and create interest in Science and Technology and pursue research for a better future.
Labs sessions and different extra-curricular activities including sports activities will also be organised for the interns in the INSPIRE internship Camp
