SRMS INSTITUTE of MEDICAL SCIENCES’ MARKS NATIONAL VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION DAY with a LIFE-SAVING GESTURE & a LIFETIME of HOPE!

Today, on National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, October 1, the Department of Transfusion Medicine, SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Bareilly once again carried forward its annual commitment to voluntary blood donation, organizing a donation drive for eligible donors from within the institute and its associated institutions.

The initiative began with a blood donation awareness campaign at the Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC) and Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC) on September 30, focusing on donor eligibility, safety and the importance of regular voluntary blood donation, because a safe and timely blood supply can mean the difference between life and loss.

Today, the message translated into action as eligible and interested donors came forward in overwhelming numbers to donate their precious blood, reaffirming the spirit of voluntary service and community care.

The initiative also holds special significance as SRMS Trust prepares to observe the 38th Smriti Diwas of Late Ram Murti Ji on October 2, a day that carries forward his enduring values of service, compassion and empowering lives. The occasion will also witness the conferring of Ram Murti Pratibha Alankaran on three distinguished personalities, distribution of ₹3.5 crore in academic scholarships to meritorious students across SRMS Trust Institutions, and felicitation of the National Debate Competition winners.

From giving blood today to empowering young lives tomorrow, the spirit remains the same: service that touches lives and a legacy that continues to inspire.
