The second play showcased at ‘INDRADHANUSH—RANG MAHOTSAV 2022’, a theatre festival at Riddhima—A Centre of Performing and Fine Arts, affiliated to Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh (Chhattisgarh) on November 02, 2022 is ‘Bani Thani se Rasik Bihari’, which is an adaptation and a direction by a duo Rakhi Chauhan and Manav Mehra, popularly known as Rakhi Manav.
Presented by 5 Elementz Theatre Group presentation from New Delhi, the play is about the mesmerizing beauty of Bani Thani, a lady with a depiction of beautiful deep eyes and striking facial features, whose appearance and glimpse is not less than a Bani Thani painting, which is a famous artwork of Bundi. Based on her life, as depicted in 18th Century, the play wonderfully portrayed her character in an extremely beautiful and attractive manner, which is going to be a visual treat for theatre buffs. The magnificent projection of beauty in the play has been inspired and presented by Narmada Prasad Upadhyaya, an accomplished Hindi essayist and art critic, whose specific area of work is to discover study and research the styles and sub-styles of Indian miniature painting flourished in different regions of Central India.
