In alignment with the vision of ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ initiated by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK College of Engineering, Technology & Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly,, observed International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking’ on this year’s theme ‘the evidence is clear: invest in prevention’, and took a significant oath based on nationwide initiative ‘Nasha Mukti Pakhwada 2024’ to promote awareness on importance of a drug-free lifestyle.
The event began with a solemn oath-taking ceremony led by Dr LS Maurya, Principal, SRMS CETR wherein faculty, staff & students collectively pledged their commitment to maintaining a substance-free environment within the institution & in their personal lives. Further, he emphasized critical role each individual plays in fostering a healthy & responsible community. The host, Abhinav Agnihotri, a B Tech 1st year student ensured a seamless flow of proceedings, contributing actively towards the cause.
However, the initiative was significant step taken in actively engaging the community, promoting a culture of awareness, cultivating responsibility, wellness, and extending its impact beyond the campus to the broader society. Most importantly, ‘Nasha Mukti Pakhwada’ initiative was institutions’ reaffirmation to the holistic development & well-being of every college member as well as society.
