The Department of Basic Science at SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR), Bareilly organized an informative Online Guest Lecture on ‘Process Integration in Memory Fabrication: From Wafer to Final Device – An Industrial Approach’ for B Tech (CS) students of Batch 2023 & 2024, which was delivered by Keynote Speaker Dr Kumar Prashant, a PhD Scholar from IIT Hyderabad.
During the enriching session, Dr Kumar Prashant, a distinguished expert in semiconductor technology and process integration, introduced students to various stages involved in device fabrication, starting from the initial wafer preparation to final device manufacturing. Having a solid background in memory device development & fabrication, he provided invaluable insights into the intricate device process flow, effectively bridging theoretical knowledge with industrial applications, alongside the latest technological trends.
Dr Prashant further spoke on critical stages of fabrication with its industrial standards, safety protocols, best practices; challenges and solutions. He also shared real-world examples of tools & equipment used in the industry. However, the lecture gave an exposure to students to explore potential careers and research avenues in semiconductor technology.
