SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE HOSTS BOOT CAMP ON ‘INNOVATIVE AGRIPRENEURSHIP’ TO SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL, EMPOWERING ASPIRING TECHNOLOGISTS & ENTREPRENEURS

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 2: Zero Hunger), SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) & Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) organised Boot Camp Session on ‘Innovative Agripreneurship’. The impactful session was attended by 255 students of B Tech & B Pharm (first & second year) & MCA (first-year) from SRMS Engineering Institutes, namely CET & SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR).

The session was delivered by Resource Person, Saurabh Singh, Business Manager, RKVY RAFTAAR, IVRI, Izzatnagar, Bareilly, who sensitized students about agricultural practices & available government funding schemes, wherein he also introduced Agripreneurship Programmes—NAVODAYA & SAMRIDDHI by ICAR-IVRI through its IVRI Pashu Vigyan Incubator.

The camp was a global reminder of the importance of sustainable and innovative agricultural practices, wherein students learned about different schemes for start-ups based on agricultural practices and had an opportunity to discuss their ideas with IVRI officials.

The session was graced by Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Principal CET & President IIC; Dr Shailesh Saxena, Dean Academics CETR & Convener IIC; Dr Shailendra Deva, Vice Principal & Dean Research, CET among many others. The event was well-coordinated by Ashish Agrawal, Faculty-in-charge, IT Department, CET.
