The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Value Additional Cell at SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR), Bareilly , under the supervision of the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) recently organised a two-day workshop on ‘Android App Development’, led by Pramod Kumar, Assistant Professor, CSE Department, CETR, who provided B Tech third-year students with hands-on experience in Android Application Development.
During the session, Pramod Kumar introduced students to several key topics, including Android Studio, fundamentals of Android development environment, and essential tools and techniques for building functional mobile applications. He also provided a comprehensive overview of Firebase, explaining its various features and capabilities as a backend platform. He demonstrated the process of creating a basic project on Firebase & integrating it with Android applications, highlighting real-time database management, authentication systems & cloud storage facilities available through Firebase.
The workshop concluded with a doubt-clearing session, where students actively engaged in working on basic application development projects, while applying the practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills gained during the session. The event was graced by Dr Shailesh Saxena , Dean Academics; Er KK Agarwal ; DSW; Dr Manvi Mishra , Head, CSE Department & several others.
