CYBER SECURITY MEETS LINUX: POWER-PACKED 2-DAY WORKSHOP @ SRMS ENGINEERING & RESEARCH COLLEGE

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), in collaboration with the Value Addition Cell & IIC-SRMS CETR, hosted a two-day hands-on workshop on “Cyber Security with Linux” for B. Tech CSE II-year students (Batch 2024).

Led by Akshatra Gupta & Ansh Chauhan (B Tech CS Batch 2022), the sessions dived deep into Linux fundamentals, command-line operations, user permissions, and system security. Students explored network security, firewalls, SSH, encryption, and vulnerability assessment through guided real-world simulations. With laptops open and curiosity high, participants gained practical exposure to Linux-based defense tools, learning to tackle modern cybersecurity challenges with confidence.

A perfect blend of alumni mentorship, skill-building, and live practice, the 2- day workshop prepared future engineers to guard the digital world!
