SRMS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY & RESEARCH’s HANDS-ON PYTHON WORKSHOP GIVES B TECH STUDENTS A REAL CODING EDGE

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (SRMS CET&R), along with the Value Addition Cell and IIC–SRMS CET&R, recently wrapped up an intensive one-week (28-hour) hands-on workshop on “Python Programming Fundamentals & Applications”.

Conducted every morning in the BCA Lab, the workshop was exclusively planned for B Tech 2nd-year students, giving them a strong, practice-based foundation in one of today’s most in-demand programming languages. The sessions were led by Neeraj Katheriya, an expert trainer from Tech Vision Technologies, Bareilly, who began by breaking down Python basics and gradually moved students toward applying these concepts through real-time practice programs.

The final day turned into a mini-tech fest of its own, where students worked on mini-projects and a concept quiz, bringing together everything they had learned. From automation scripts to small apps and data processing programs, the projects showcased creativity, logic, and a growing confidence in coding. Each team presented their work and received valuable feedback to sharpen their approach further. However, the workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony graced by Ambrish Gupta and Ritu Gupta from Tech Vision Technologies; Dr Shailesh Saxena (Dean Academics, SRMS CET&R); Dr Manvi Mishra (HOD, CSE) & KK Agarwal (DSW, SRMS CET&R).
