CELEBRATING THE ENGINEERS WHO TURN IDEAS INTO IMPACT: SRMS ENGINEERING COLLEGE marks ENGINEER’S DAY with INSPIRATION & RECOGNITION!

Engineering is not just about numbers, machines or technology. It is about seeing a challenge, finding a way forward and creating solutions that make a difference. Keeping this spirit at the heart of the celebrations, SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly celebrated Engineer’s Day today (on 15 September) to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of India’s legendary engineers.

Organised by Tyro and Verve Clubs, the celebration brought together students, faculty and distinguished guests for a morning of inspiration, reflection and appreciation for the engineering profession. The programme kicked-off with Lamp Lighting, Saraswati Vandana and Sansthan Geet. Principal Dr Prabhakar Gupta highlighted the institution’s achievements, while Vidhi Singh, President, Tyro and Verve Club spoke about the life and legacy of Sir Visvesvaraya.

Chief Guest, Shri Mukesh Khaitan, Sr. General Manager, Nano Fertilizers Plant (NFP), IFFCO Aonla Unit, shared valuable insights from his professional journey. Trust Secretary Shri Aditya Murti spoke about the importance of sustainability and the larger vision engineers must carry as they shape the future. A special highlight was the Best Engineer Award, recognizing students for their achievement, dedication and contribution, wherein Mohd. Hassan (IT-2023) and Ishita Shukla (CS-2023) were felicitated. The Chief Guest was also felicitated with a memento in recognition of his presence and contribution. However, the celebrations concluded with Vote of Thanks by Dr Shailesh Saxena, Dean Academics, SRMS CET&R.
