BUDGET DROP 2026: YOUR FUTURE JUST GOT A GOVERNMENT UPGRADE at SRMS ENGINEERING & RESEARCH COLLEGE
SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly recently brought students into the conversation that matters with a Post-Budget Webinar on Union Budget 2026–27, themed “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas — Fulfilling Aspirations of People.” Organised under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), in collaboration with MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and AICTE, this wasn’t your average lecture-hall snooze fest; it was a proper breakdown of what the budget means for the generation that’s going to build Bharat.
PM Narendra Modi kicked things off with a special address spotlighting what the budget’s doing for education and skill development. And honestly, the announcements hit. A brand-new National Institute of Design in the Eastern Region. Girls’ hostels in every district to make STEM more accessible. The National Telescope Scheme for anyone who’s ever looked up and wondered. And the Divyang Kaushal Yojana, because inclusive progress isn’t optional, it’s the whole point.
The session brought policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and students into the same room (virtual, but still), because the road to Viksit Bharat by 2047 isn’t built by one type of person sitting in one type of room.
