FROM CLASSROOMS TO CLOUD CAREERS: SRMS ENGINEERING & RESEARCH STUDENTS GO HANDS-ON WITH AWS
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (SRMS CET & R), Bareilly, in collaboration with the Value Addition Cell and under the guidance of IIC–SRMS CET & R, successfully hosted a 6-hour hands-on AWS Cloud Bootcamp.
The bootcamp titled ‘AWS Cloud: From Virtual Machines to Serverless’ was specially curated for B Tech CSE 3rd-year students, giving them real exposure to how the tech world is moving beyond traditional servers. Led by Talib Khan, an expert cloud trainer, the sessions walked students through advanced AWS services and the shift towards serverless architectures, showing how modern applications can be deployed faster, smarter, and without the hassle of managing servers. The hands-on demonstrations helped students connect theory with real-world cloud practices used by today’s organizations.
The bootcamp not only strengthened cloud computing fundamentals but also highlighted the growing demand for AWS skills in the IT industry. With initiatives like these, SRMS CET & R continues to bridge the gap between academics and industry, preparing students to step confidently into cloud-driven careers.
