SRMS ENGINEERING & RESEARCH STUDENTS COMMEMORATE NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY

On National Science Day, SRMS College of Engineering Technology and Research (SRMS CET&R) in association of VERVE Club came forward to observe the occasion with great enthusiasm and excitement as a part of their ‘Zero Hour’ activity. Various activities were organized to celebrate the achievements of science and honor the legacy of Sir CV Raman, the eminent Indian physicist and Nobel laureate, who discovered the phenomenon of Raman scattering.
As a part of the celebrations, the activity was divided into two segments, wherein memorizing and recollecting the indelible efforts of science & the inventions was kept as one segment, where participants had to give speech about various scientists and their inventions. The second segment was to check out the general knowledge of the participants that was quite a fun. The activities showcased student’s diversified perspectives via quiz rounds based on basic questions on general science. The event was well-coordinated by Paramveer Singh, Technical Head along with Ayush Dwivedi, Chairperson of Esoteric Club. Later, the winners were announced, wherein from the first segment, Deeksha Patel (Batch 2020), Shivam Pandey (Batch 2021) and Surya Pratap Dixit (Batch 2022) secured first, second and third positions respectively. From the second segment, Aman Patel (Batch 2020), Harsh Vardhan Singh Bisht (Batch 2020) and Saad Anwar (Batch 2020) secured first, second and third positions respectively.
The event was a great success, and provided an excellent opportunity to the students to delve deeper into the fascinating world of science and explore the endless possibilities of this field. In the end, to applaud & congratulate the knowledge and enthusiasm of all the participants, certificates of appreciation were distributed to all.
