The 10TH SHRI RAM MURTI MEMORIAL 3RD UP STATE RANKING TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT 2023 (November 4-6, 2023), organized by SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK (SRMS) TRUST came to an end on its Final #DAY-3 with intense final matches & impressive performances, under the direction of UP Table Tennis Association (UPTTA), Lucknow. Overall, 600 matches were played during the tournament under 24 Technical Official & 6 categories, namely Hopes (Under 11); Cadet (Under 13); Sub-Junior (Under 15); Junior (Under 17); Youth (Under 19) and Men/Women (Open event).
Conducted by District Table Tennis Association (DTTA), Bareilly & Powered by Stag Global, the Day-3 saw tennis players competing for quarterfinals & semifinals under different categories, which was further followed by Grand Finale Match between Youth Boys/Girls (Under 19), Junior Boys/Girls (Under 17) and Men/Women (Open event).
With the last toss of the match, stage was set for prestigious Closing & Prize Distribution Ceremony, which began with a warm welcome extended to notable guests & enthusiastic audience, skilfully orchestrated by MOCs, Puja Karakoti (B Tech-IT-21) & Divyanshu Chauhan (B Tech-ME-21). The gala evening was graced by Chief Guest, Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor in the presence of Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics; Dr Sovan Mohanty, Organizing Secretary & DSW; Sanjeev Pathak, President, UPTTA; Arun Kumar Banerjee, Former Secretary General, Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) & Director UPTTA; Dr Deependra Kamthan, Secretary, DTTA; NK Lahiry, Tournament Director; Sunil Joshi, RSO; Amit Singh, International Referee; Parag Agarwal, Indian Junior Coach; Shankar Pal, Sports In-charge & several others.
Dr Deependra Kamthan took the stage to deliver a comprehensive tournament report & conveyed his sincere appreciation for the hospitality & relaxation extended to tennis players from all over UP at SRMS Campus. Sanjeev Pathak expressed heartfelt thanks for the exceptional state-of-the-art infrastructure provided by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust. Later, a token of appreciation was presented to Referees & Umpires for their efforts & hard work in making this event a gigantic success. This was followed by most-awaited prize distribution ceremony, wherein runner ups & winners were felicitated with cash prizes, trophies & certificates in respective categories.
The magnificent event came to a splendid end with an eloquent vote of thanks by Dr Sovan Mohanty. The spirit of camaraderie & appreciation was further celebrated with a sumptuous luncheon, thoughtfully prepared and served, where guests, dignitaries & participants came together to continue sharing ideas and forging meaningful connections.
