SRMS IBS organised a ‘DIGITAL MARKETING CERTIFICATION PROGRAM’ on the 10 th and 11th April, 2023. Students form all the courses (BBA, B.Com (H), BCA & MBA) including the esteemed faculties attended the two-day event, the session was taken by an eminent expert in the field – Mr. Nadem Khan. The event started with Lamp-lightening by Mr. Nadeem Khan and Respected Dean (Academics), Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Pandey followed by a brief introduction of the speaker Mr. Nadeem Khan.
With an impressive array of certifications under his belt including but not limited to Google, HubSpot, IBM, Twitter, Amazon, many more, Mr. Khan took no time in developing a rapport with the students who were present in strong numbers. Day one being largely limited to the theoretical aspect, Mr. Khan went all out in explaining the finer nuances of topics covered under Digital Marketing.
Day two was more hands-on learning wherein Mr. Khan showed the practical side of the subject like website creation, SEO, Keywords management etc. This led to a thoroughly engaging and satiating session, the key takeaways of which were:
1. Difference between Traditional Marketing and Digital Marketing.
2. Significance of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) {On page SEO, Off page SEO}.
3. Types of Digital Marketing – an idea of impressions, conversions, how to adjust conversions, website creation including steps to create header and footer.
4. Domains and Hostings – their significance and how to get them
All through the event, the students remained inquisitive as reflected through the questions raised that were deftly addressed to by Mr. Khan. A vote of thanks was given to the expert. An appreciation letter and a sapling were given to Mr. Khan by Respected Dean, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Pandey. The event ended on a positive note with the belief that the learning would keep the students in good stead going forward.
