The Institution Innovation’s Council (IIC) &TechEdgeCellatShri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareillyjointlyorganized‘HACKATHON’ with diverse range of activities. However, the participating institutions from Bareilly were SRMS CET, SRMS CETR, SRMS College of Nursing, MJP Rohilkhand University, Lotus Group of Institutions, Future Group of Institutions, Apex College, along with MIT Moradabad & Ambika College,Lucknow.Nearly 64 teams registered at the Hackathon.
The event began with lamp lightning by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust. He urged students to deal with real issues &problems mainly related to nature. Sharing his success mantra, he stressed upon long-term planning & continuous commitment.Later,Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics introduced hackathon& ideas that can bring societal change. Amit Karmakar, Coordinator of Techedge cell introduced Hackathon’s different problem statements.Dr Saurabh Gupta, Professor, MBA highlighted the transformative journey of idea into a venturewith real-life examples. The participating teamsshowcased their mettle by providing solutions on five problem statements.
PRIZE DISTRIBUTION: In Problem Statement-1, Team Medhavin(CET), Technophiles (MIT Moradabad)&Hack Hawks (CET)clinched first, second & third prize. In Problem Statement-2, Health Hackers (CET Pharmacy), Antidote Kard& Vision (CET) secured top three positions respectively. In Problem Statement-3, Team Vishvakarma & Spins (CET)stood first & second.InProblem Statement-4, Team Mission Computer, Elite Electricals & Bug Smashers (CET)stood first, second & third. In Problem Statement-5, Team Mythri (CET), Green Gladiators (CETR) & Technical Wizards (CET) received first, second & third prize.However, all first, second & third winners received cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 &Rs 2000 respectively.
