MONTH-LONG AWARENESS RALLY & CAMPAIGN IN HONOR OF WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY CULMINATED AT SRMS COLLEGE OF NURSING!

On account of World Hypertension Day, , Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) College of Nursing, Bareilly organized an impactful Awareness Month from May 17-June 17, 2024, based on theme ‘Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control It, Live Longer’. The awareness initiatives undertaken during the month aimed not only to educate about hypertension, but also encouraged the community to adapt healthier lifestyles.

The activities commenced with an Awareness Rally kicking-off from , SRMS Hospital , where participants gathered with banners, flex & flags. The rally proceeded to Bhojipura station & returned to SRMS College of Nursing, accompanied by faculty members, safety police officers, ambulance services& nursing students, highlighting the significance of regular BP monitoring& encouraging community to take proactive steps towards managing their health. This was followed by Awareness Campaign at Bhojipura Railway Station, primarily driven by World Hypertension League (WHL) & other global health organizations, which was graced by Vimla Chaudhary, ANO of NER Hospital & railway official, Kalpana. This campaign targeted healthcare professionals & general public about enhancing the understanding & management of Hypertension.

Thereafter 200 people got BP screening done& awareness was raised using charts& pamph lets to promote early detection & hypertension prevention. However, the camp, organized meticulously by , Rahul Kumar, Associate Professor ; Rechal Singh, Assistant Professor; , Ankit Chaman, Nursing Tutor ; Anjali & Namanpreet Kaur, Clinical Instructors —from SRMS Nursing College, provided comprehensive information on causes, symptoms &preventive measures. , Dr Muthu Maheshwari, Principal & , Professor Aneesh Chandran, Vice Principal at SRMS Nursing College provided invaluable guidance& support, enhancing the effectiveness of month-long awareness drive.
