SRMS COLLEGE OF NURSING MARKS ‘WORLD AIDS DAY’ WITH AWARENESS ACTIVITIES ON ‘MY HEALTH, MY RIGHT’!

Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) College of Nursing, Bareilly observed World AIDS Day with a series of informative sessions and activities centered around this year’s theme, ‘Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right.’ This annual observance raised awareness about HIV/AIDS and educated the community on preventive measures, early detection & importance of combating stigma around AIDS.

The highlight was an engaging Role Playby nursing students, who depicted real-life scenarios faced by people living with HIV/AIDS & emphasized upon the need for compassion, support & proper healthcare. They skillfully showcased the significance of positive health education in addressing misconceptions and encouraging individuals to seek timely medical intervention. Students also conducted Health Education Sessionson topics including ‘Modes of HIV Transmission and Prevention,’ ‘Significance of Regular Health Check-Ups,’ ‘Living Positively with HIV & Reducing Stigma’ etc. This was followed by an Awareness Drive with posters, banners & informational leaflets. Participants also took pledge to support HIV/AIDS patients.
The World AIDS Day observance was well-coordinated by Professor Aneesh Chandran , Vice Principal & Neha Methpal, Assistant Professor at Nursing College.
