Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Nursing observed World Mental Health Day recently with a knowledge-driven Seminar and a thought-provoking Role-Play.
The day began with the collaborative efforts of Nimmi Arya, Assistant Professor, College of Nursing, along with Nursing Tutors Vaishnavi Kholia and Namanpreet Kaur, who led a helping hand in organizing the seminar and act. The event, anchored by Batch 2023 students—Sarita Chaudhary, first-year student of Post Basic BSc Nursing & Rubaldeep Kaur, first-semester student of BSc Nursing, kicked off with engaging presentations on mental health given by third-year students of BSc Nursing, Batch 2020. Later, an enlightening speech was given by Sarita Chaudhary on maintaining good mental health for overall well-being. This was followed by a role play performed by GNM Fresher’s, Batch 2023, which focused on prioritizing self-care, social connection and supportive relationships, managing stress, balancing lifestyle, thinking positive, setting realistic goals and seeking professional help, if needed.
At the end, Parashram, Associate Professor, Nursing College appreciated the participants’ hard work & efforts in making the Mental Health Day successful. The day served as a reminder of the significance of good mental health.
