On account of Hypertension Awareness Month, , Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) College of Nursing, Bareilly organized a series of engaging activities with an aim to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood pressure monitoring, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle to prevent hypertension among community people.

Centered on the theme ‘Know Your Numbers’, the awareness campaign began with a brief introduction on hypertension by Simran Jeet Kaur, BSc Nursing student of Batch 2021. Following this, a captivating Nukkad Natak was performed by ANM students of Batch 2022, which portrayed various conditions related to hypertension, such as unhealthy lifestyle habits, stress & lack of awareness. An important Health Education session also took place stressing upon the causes, signs, symptoms, and prevention of hypertension, which was delivered by Abhishek Pandey and Priyanka Solanki, BSc Nursing students (Batch 2021). However, these informative sessions were conducted at SRMS Hospital & Dhaura Tanda Village under the supervision of Dr IA Khan, Manager, SRMS Hospital and Yogita & Munesh, Medical Social Workers (MSWs) at PHC, Dhaura Tanda Village, respectively. However, the awareness activity was well-conducted under the guidance of Assistant Professor Neha Mathpal & Nursing Tutor Deepa Kholiya, which concluded further with a pledge, initiated by Rahim Khan, a BSc Nursing student of Batch 2021, in pursuit of combating hypertension.
