SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK NURSING COLLEGE RAISED AWARNESS ON TUBERCULOSIS WITH IMPACTFUL ACTIVITIES!

On account of World Tuberculosis Day, an awareness programme was organized at Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) College of Nursing, Bareilly with an aim to raise awareness among community people & nursing students about the global epidemic of TB and the concerted efforts underway to eradicate this disease.

Centered on the theme ‘Yes! We can end TB’, the event began with a Nukkad Natak performed by the nursing students at SRMS Hospital & Dhaura Tanda Village. However, the play focused on preventive measures of tuberculosis and the available treatment modalities for affected individuals. Thereafter, Quiz Competition took place, which consisted of three rounds, each comprising five questions to be answered.

Following this, an engaging Seminar enriched students’ knowledge about tuberculosis that was meticulously conducted by BSc Nursing fifth-semester student, Monika. Towards the end, the winners of Quiz Competition were announced wherein Rubal & Anshita grabbed first position while Vedika & Deeksha Gangwar stood second.

Earlier, Dr Muthu Maheshwari, Principal, SRMS College of Nursing delivered an informative speech on tuberculosis in the presence of Professor Aneesh Chandran, Vice Principal, Nursing College, along with several other faculty members & students. Overall, the event was insightful & engaging, and fostered awareness in the noble pursuit of combating tuberculosis.
