Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Nursing, Bareilly observed a week-long ANTI-RAGGING CAMPAIGN from AUGUST 12-18, 2024 with a series of awareness activities, aimed at educating students about harmful consequences of ragging, sensitizing anti-ragging policies & to foster an inclusive environment on campus. Revolving around this year’s theme, ‘YaRRI Youth Against Ragging’, the 7-day highlights were Introduction & Orientation Session, Poster & Logo Competition, Essay & Slogan contest, Reels & YouTube Vlogs competition and Seminar & Open Discussions.
The anti-ragging week kicked-off with introduction & orientation session, wherein Parashram, Associate Professor, emphasized upon the need for a safe atmosphere with video presentation. Following this, Poster & Logo Competition witnessed creatively expressed ideas on combating ragging.The participants were judged on the basis of originality, innovative designs, theme-based relevance, visual impact, clarity of message, wherein Simranjeet Kaur from GNM, Arun Kumar & Asther (BSc Nursing-Batch 2024) secured 1st , 2nd & 3rd place each in Poster competition, while Sanjana from GNM (Batch 2023) stood 1st , Bilal from BSc (Batch 2024) & Sheetal from GNM (Batch 2023) grabbed 2nd & 3rd positions each in Logo contest.
The Essay & Slogan competition witnessed engaging content & catchy slogans, wherein, Vedika Chaudhary (Batch 2023), Akanksha Yadav (Batch 2023) & Kripa Thomas-Batch 2024 (BSc Nursing) clinched the top three spots in essay-writing, while Vedita Pal (Batch 2022), Priya Kashyap (Batch 2022) & Mahima-Batch 2024 (BSc Nursing) grabbed 1st , 2nd & 3rd positions each in slogan competition.
Lastly, Reels & YouTube Vlogs contest saw students creating impactful short videos & reels, which was a significant part of anti-ragging week at SRMS Nursing College.
