Faculty of Management Science at Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly hosted its much-awaited National Management Fest – PARADIGM 2017 on 8 April 2017. Organized by the Management Club at the institute, the festival offers a platform to budding managers to display their talents in different arenas. This year more than 200 students from various educational institutions made their presence felt at the fest, making it a huge success.

‘Adroit – Let The Games Begin’ was the theme of Paradigm 2017 and it lived up to it to the excitement that built in the weeks leading up to the event. Sports Club, Strategic Club, Literary Club, Cultural Club, and Technology Club of SRMS CET, Bareilly had joined forces to ensure that everything functioned smoothly on the big day. The campus had taken on a festive look as it welcomed students from different institutes. They participated in several fun activities while they competed for top prizes.

Best Manager, Mad Ad, Train Your Brain, Corporate Rangoli, Symbiosis, and Treasure Hunt were the smartly planned activities that formed the core of Paradigm 17. Each of these activities helped participants display their talent, creativity and management skills. Best Manager was a simulation game where the decision-making ability of participants was analyzed through various situations. Solving management puzzles was the focus of the first round while Situational Role Play formed the second round of this popular event.

Nine teams participated in Corporate Rangoli, which had a unique twist as students had to redesign the logos of companies. They also made a presentation after they completed their designs. Symbiosis, which seemed to be the favorite event among the students, tested participants’ team building skills. The teams were judged in three rounds based on tasks that had them showcasing their managerial acumen.

16 teams participated in Mad Ads, the advertisement making competition. They came up with creative concepts and executed them with professional precision. The analytical event, Train Your Brain, included three exciting rounds where 18 teams fought tooth and nail for the top prize. Treasure Hunt was a Reasoning Event where clues were given to the participants. 36 teams participated in what was the most adventurous event of Paradigm 17.

After a day of competition, deserving winners were presented with awards at the prize distribution ceremony. They were cheered on by the audience, which revealed that the games were played in the best of spirit. Once again SRMS CET, Bareilly had put together an event that made its mark. It also helped students from colleges in the area bond and create fun-filled memories that will stay with them.
