In a resplendent celebration of Vijayadashami and the culmination of Navratri’s fervor, Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS) Institutions namely SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), College of Engineering & Technology (CET), SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR), Nursing & Law College, Bareilly celebrated Dussehra with great zeal and pomp.
Hosted at lush green mela ground of IMS, the celebrations marking the ‘victory of good over the evil’ began with inaugural of the Dussehra Mela with a ceremonial lamp lightning by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman SRMS Trust, followed by floral tribute to Maa Saraswati. The event saw the gracious presence of Aditya Murti, Trust Secretary; Trustees Asha Murti & Usha Gupta; Richa Murti, Director Goodlife Hospital; Air Marshal Dr MS Butola, Principal IMS; Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics along with HODs, faculties, doctors, staff members and Club Presidents of all colleges.
The evening came alive with electrifying dance performances by IMS students, harmonious group singing by IPS students & spellbinding showcase of talent by CETR & Nursing students. Added highlights of the evening were cultural events, game stalls, fire-cracker show and variety of delicious food to gorge upon. Towards the climax of the evening—the symbolic ‘Ravan Dahan’ was carried out with devotion and tradition by Shri Dev Murti and Aditya Murti, which further ignited the night with a blaze of victory.
