The SRMS Toastmasters Club organized orientation programme for its renewing batch at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly with an aim to introduce essence of Toastmasters, its purpose & objectives to aspiring speakers & leaders. Simultaneously, SRMS Toastmasters Club’s Demo Meeting on the theme ‘Challenge Accepted’ that empowered students to enhance their communication, leadership & critical thinking skills, and build professional network for gaining competitive edge in their careers.
The programme began with welcoming of guests TM Asankhya Vishwa Mohan, District Chief Judge; TM Manvi Kumar, Area F4 Director along with students of Toastmasters club from IMS Ghaziabad — TM Dev Parashar & TM Bhumi Singhal. The event’s presiding officer Dr Saurabh Gupta shared club’s journey, which was followed by key takeaways & feedbacks from mentors. The demo meeting saw TM Amisha Varshney encouraging participants to embrace challenges while stepping out of their comfort zones & view this meet as a growth opportunity.
The meeting was distributed in three segments—Prepared Speech by IMS Ghaziabad’s BBA student TM Bhumi Singhal; Table Topics (Impromptu Speaking)by TM Chahak Agarwal; and Evaluation Session by TM Siddhi Gupta & TM Dev Parashar. Later, Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Principal CET & Dr LS Maurya, HOD, CS Department felicitated the winners of Club-level Table Topics & Speech Evaluation Contest & presented tokens of appreciation to guest speakers. Dr Anuj Kumar, Director TDP Cell & Dr Shailesh Saxena, Dean Academics, CETR were also present.
