In alignment with United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG 11), Shri Ram Murti Smarak (SRMS Trust) Institutions, Bareilly marked World Habitat Day with ‘Poster Making Competition’ on‘ Your Best Habitat’, which further embodied the spirit of unity & responsibility towards environment.
Organized by SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET) , the contest saw active participation of students from SRMS Trust Institutions—Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS); Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS); College of Nursing; CET; College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CETR).
The competition was a dynamic platform for students to creatively express the significance of adequate shelter, inclusive habitats & sustainable urban development through impactful posters on ‘habitat as a portrayal of a mother’s womb’, ‘importance of planting more trees’, ‘habitat as a representation of Earth’ etc, highlighting innovative approaches to address these global challenges.
Later, winners were felicitated, wherein, Priti Bajpai & Fareh Hussain from CET clinched first & second prize respectively, while Harsh Saxena from CETR stood third. The competition was adjudged by Professor Aneesh Chandran , Vice Principal, Nursing College Ashwani Kumar Chauhan , Assistant Professor, ME Department, CET; Arun Kumar Sahu , Assistant Professor, CSE Department, CETR & Anubha Dhaka , Assistant Professor, CSE Department, CET. Dr Shailendra Deva , Vice Principal & Dean Research, CET along with Dr Saurabh Gupta, DSW were also present.
