SRMS CET, Bareilly was host to TECHVYOM 2018, the annual national level technical fest on 17th March, 2018. The event saw enthusiastic participation from teams representing multiple colleges in and around Western UP.

The fest consisted of nearly 40 different events that included competitions, quizzes, presentations, case studies, and more. All the engineering fields were represented with students showcasing both their academic knowledge as well as skills with inventions, models, and robots.

The positive spirit of the fest was seen in the fact that both team participation, as well as audience support, was not limited to students from any particular stream.

Runbhumi, Robo Soccer, The Coder, Web Development, Chain Reaction, Catapult, and Vidhyut Utpadnan were some of the most awaited events. Tech Gallery was another key attraction that saw tech models and machines on display with their inventor teams. However, it was LAN Gaming that turned out to be one of the most popular and engaging events, which was not surprising given the high interest in gaming among students. LAN gaming provided a platform to expert gamers for showcasing skills developed through many hours of practice. This year the event had the ever popular Counter-Strike and Call of Duty as the platforms. Different teams of B.Tech (all branches) across 2nd, 3rd, and 4thyear besides MBA 2nd year participated with high levels of energy.

The fest proved to be a fertile ground for nurturing the ambition and talent of 500+ participants from various institutions. Most of all, every participant competed with the best and most positive spirit, which was very enthusing to watch for attendees. To encourage participation as well as recognise the best efforts, a total cash prize of Rs 1 lacs was distributed to winners across the various events.

The fest also tested the organization abilities of the 9 clubs that worked hard to organize these multiple and diverse events.
