SRMS CET, Bareilly recently organized the Orientation Program for its B. Tech. (Batch 2017-21), M. Tech. (Batch 2017-19), MBA (Batch 2017-19), MCA (Batch 2017-20), B. Pharm. (Batch 2017-21), and M. Pharm. (Batch 2017-19) recruits and the B. Tech. (Batch 2017-21) program students at SRMS CETR, Bareilly. Held in the presence of leading names from academia and industry, the 22nd edition of the program was meant to acquaint the new batch with the college environment and the learning experiences they can expect during their stay. Packed with new students buzzing with anticipation, the event attracted considerable energy and excitement.
Mr. Dev Murti (Chairman, SRMS Trust), Mr. Aditya Murti (SRMS Trust Secretary), Mr. Subhash Mehra (SRMS Trust Administrator), Mr. Prabhakar Gupta (Dean, Academics), Mr. Pankaj Tyagi (Member, BOG), and Mr. Suresh Sundrani (Member, BOG) were present in the audience to inspire students. Dr. Ankita Tandon, Faculty of Management Science, started the proceedings with the Welcome Speech.
The activities began with the traditional lighting of the lamp. The students of the institute presented a plant – symbol of green and clean India – to the attending dignitaries. Dr. Prabhakar Gupta then took over and said, “College is the bridge between school and professional life. You will need to rely on analytical attitude, team spirit, human values, and professional ethics to make the most of your experience here.”
Mr. Aditya Murti stressed on the importance of attributes like qualitative standards, value systems, self exploration, and discipline for today’s students. Mr. Pankaj Tyagi urged new students to enjoy their college years while focusing on academics: “A pessimist finds problem in all solutions but an optimist finds solution in all problems. You need to find a healthy balance and look at the positive side of things.”
Sharing his experience, Mr. Suresh Sundrani offered valuable tips to the students on doing well in their careers and encouraged them to think big. Quoting Swami Vivekananda in his speech, Mr. Dev Murti made a lasting impression on the new students. Dr. Lalit Singh (Director, Pharmacy) offered the Vote of Thanks at the end of this engaging and thought provoking ceremony. Just the right motivation for fresh recruits to start their journey on a high note!
