The 11TH SHRI RAM MURTI MEMORIAL 2ND UP STATE RANKING TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT 2024 (August 22-25, 2024) organized by SRMS TRUST kicked-off today (August 22) at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (SRMS CET), Bareilly under the direction of UP TT Association, Lucknow.
Conducted by District TT Association (DTTA), Bareilly, Powered by Stag Global, the DAY-1 began with inaugural by Shri Dev Murti, Founder & Chairman SRMS Trust in the presence of Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor; Dr Deependra Kamthan, Secretary, DTTA; Amit Kumar Singh, Chief Referee; Sunil Joshi, Regional Sports Officer, Agra; Dr Sovan Mohanty, Organizing Secretary along with HOD’s, faculties, members of proctorial board, coaches & players.
During inaugural, Shri Dev Murti played the first igniting shot & delivered presidential address on significance of sports for holistic development.
The 4-day tournament shall witness over 600 matches with participation of 498 players across 29 districts (28 cities) of UP. The category of matches for Boys & Girls includes Hopes (Under 11); Cadet (Under 13); Sub-Junior (Under 15); Junior (Under 17); Youth (Under 19) & Men/Women (Open event). This year, a new category of Masters (veterans) has been introduced (6 men categories of 30, 49, 59, 64, 69, 74 & 3 women categories of 39, 49, 59).
The winners of action-packed Day-1 includes Divyansh Srivastava (Lucknow) in Men’s category; Shrishti Jaiswal (Prayagraj)—Women’s; Raunak Singh (Ghaziabad)—Youth boys; Avani Tripathi (Ghaziabad)—Youth girls; Ayush Bagga (Lucknow)—Junior Boys; Suhani Mahajan (Ghaziabad)—Junior girls; Aryan Kumar (Prayagraj)—Sub-junior boys; Samriddhi Sharma (Ghaziabad)—Sub-junior
girls; Lakshya Kumar (Lucknow)—Cadet boys; Ankisha Mishra (Agra)—Cadet girls; Lakshya Kumar (Lucknow)—Hopes Boys & Pahel Gupta (Agra)—Hopes girls.
