The 10TH SHRI RAM MURTI MEMORIAL 3RD UP STATE RANKING TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT 2023 organized by SHRI RAM MURTI SMARAK (SRMS) TRUST took place recently this month at SRMS Engineering Campus, under the direction of UP Table Tennis Association (UPTTA), Lucknow. Conducted by District Table Tennis Association (DTTA), Bareilly & Powered by Stag Global, the 3-day sports gala turned to be an awe-inspiring platform for the players, showcasing the pinnacle of skill & sportsmanship, where players from across the UP State gathered to compete, turning the SRMS venue into a hub of fierce competition and camaraderie.

Highlighting upon SRMS Indoor Sports Complex as an outstanding venue, arguably the best in UP, Amit Kumar Singh, Chief Referee of International Tournaments, commends its impeccable facilities and vibrant atmosphere, which made this tournament an exciting table tennis showdown. Articulating further about the tournament, he said, “Overall 600 matches unfolded during the 3-day tournament under 24 Technical Officials & 6 categories. The tournament was a perfect celebration of skill and camaraderie. It was a treat to witness thrilling victories and exceptional hospitality at SRMS.”

Emphasizing the tournament’s decade-long legacy, Dr Deependra Kamthan, Secretary of the District TT Association and Joint Secretary of the UP-TT Association, quoted, “This tournament has been a steadfast tradition for the past 10 years, drawing participants from various districts of UP. This year, we expanded to 10 tables from the previous 6, which is a testament to the ever-growing interest as well as the number of table tennis players. The hospitality at SRMS, providing free accommodation and meals, contributed to the surge in entries”.
