A workshop was organized on Thursday, October 11, 2018 for B. Tech Second Year Students at SRMS CET&R, Bareilly by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering & CSI Student Branch.
This workshop was conducted by Mr. Ankur Dwivedi, Student of B.Tech Third Year under the guidance of Er. Shailesh Saxena, Head, CS&E. The topic of the workshop was ‘Android App Development’.
As we know that Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google, based on a modified version of the Linux kernel and other open source software and designed primarily for touch screen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
A total of 50 students participated in the workshop with full enthusiasm. Mr. Ankur talked about the detailed description of the XML and Java. The students gained the knowledge of building user interface using XML and adding functionality to application by Java and many more content related to Android.
Overall, the workshop was an interactive and knowledgeable session where the participants got to acquire a lot of additional knowledge apart from academics. The students have done a hands-on practice of Android on Android Studio 3.2.0.
