Gulrez secured First Place in the Eastern UP Inter State Body Building Championship (55Kg category) and Fourth Place in Eastern UP Inter State Man Physique Championship, which was organized by the Uttar Pradesh Fitness Body Building Association on March 4, 2023 in Shahjahanpur in the presence of Guest of Honour, Rafey Khan, a renowned name in the bodybuilding industry. Exhibiting awe-inspiring and record-breaking performance, Gulrez stood out as a true champion with his impeccable muscularity and jaw-dropping poses.
PERFECTING TECHNIQUES
While pursuing a degree in Engineering, Gulrez remained dedicated to his fitness goals and trained hard every day. He spent countless hours in the gym, pushing his body to the limit and perfecting his techniques. He also followed a strict diet plan including appropriate intake of nutrients. Overall, this triumph speaks volumes about his determination and path to success. Today, Gulrez is an inspiration to his fellow students at SRMS Engineering & Research College, and to anyone, who aspires to achieve fitness goals. His success story wasn’t easy, and speaks worthy of his discipline, hard work, and dedication.
VICTORIOUS JOURNEY
Speaking about his success journey, Gulrez Ansari, a passionate bodybuilder who aspires to join Indian Army or IPS, says, “My love for fitness and building a strong, muscular physique started at a young age and continued to grow. Before this championship, my weight was 58 kg, so, I worked hard and gained 5kg weight for muscles, which turned my weight up to 63kg. But that was just the beginning to really sculpt my body and get into the 55kg category of bodybuilding, for which I had to undergo on intense diet. For one month, I ate only boiled food without spices, sugar, and salt. I loaded up on protein to keep my muscles strong, and I stuck to intense diet plan. I pushed myself through an arduous 72-hours dehydration cycle. Despite the challenge, I stayed committed & dedicated to achieve the ultimate physique.”
OVERWHELMED WITH GRATITUDE
On receiving this coveted title, Gulrez expressed his joy and gratitude towards his coach for his continuous guidance and support. In lieu of the same, he remarks, “All my hard work and dedication paid off, when I got an opportunity to represent my SRMS College in this prestigious championship. Facing stiff competition and competing against some of the talented bodybuilders from the region, it wasn’t a cake walk, but with great support and motivation of my personal gym trainer, Khairuddin, I was able to give my best shot, and impress the judges with my muscular physique and impeccable stage presence. My trainer taught me to stay focused and determined, ensuring that hard work will take me a long way.”
A WORD OF ADVICE
Sharing a piece of advice to budding bodybuilders, Gulrez, who’s next target is to win ‘Mr UP Bodybuilding Championship’ says, “Consistency is the key. One has to make certain compromises with routine and diet in order to accomplish fitness goals. It’s important to stay dedicated to your training and nutrition, and never give up on your goals. In my bodybuilding journey, success has actually unlocked numerous opportunities for me, and I am determined to persistently chase my passion.”
