SRMS CRICKET ACADEMY EMERGED STRIKING WINNERS IN SHRI RAM MURTI MEMORIAL T-20 PRIZE MONEY CRICKET TOURNAMENT

The Shri Ram Murti Memorial T-20 Prize Money Cricket Tournament, held from March 30 to April 7, 2023 at SRMS Cricket Stadium, SRMS CET, Bareilly has finally come to an end, and what an amazing & breathtaking tournament it was, with a week-long celebration of cricket!

After a series of closely contested 13 matches between 8 talented teams divided in Group A & B each, the SRMS Cricket Academy emerged as astounding and ULTIMATE CHAMPIONS of the tournament against Army Mustallions in a thrilling encounter, in a Grand Finale held on April 7. All the 8 teams including SRMS Cricket Academy, 22 Yards, Oasis Cricket Academy, Gangasheel Cricket Academy, Army Mustallions, IK Collection, Alma Mater Cricket Academy and Airforce, Bareilly battle it out and gave tough competitions to each other.
On the day of finals, the match between SRMS Cricket Academy and Army Mustallions was a roller coaster ride for teams and spectators both, wherein Mustallions chose to bat first and made a score of 110 runs in 18.5 overs with a loss of all 10 wickets, and in the end, SRMS Cricket Academy finally emerged as a victorious team with a score of 114 runs in 17.1 overs with a loss of 3 wickets. SRMS Cricket team played exceptionally well throughout the tournament, and exhibited exuberant sportsmanship, with excellent batting and fielding skills.

The Winning (SRMS Cricket Academy) and Runners-up Team (Army Mustallions) were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 31,000 and 21,000 respectively along with the majestic trophies. The ‘Man of the Tournament’ and ‘Man of the Match’ (for finals) titles was bagged by Harsh Rana from SRMS Cricket Academy, who also received Rs 2500 & Rs 500 respectively for the both the titles along with trophies.

The Chief Guest of the tournament finale was Jag Pravesh, IAS Officer & Chief Development Officer (CDO), Bareilly, who was given a warm welcome by Aditya Murti, Trust Administrator in the presence of Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dean Academics, SRMS CET; Er Subhash Mehra, Trust Advisor; Sita Ram Saxena, Secretary, Bareilly Cricket Association (BCA); Manish Singh, Coach, SRMS Cricket Academy, and many others. Shankar Pal, the Sports Officer at SRMS Cricket Academy conducted the smooth functioning of the match and ground facilities.
