SRMS College of Engineering Technology and Research (SRMS CETR), Bareilly in collaboration with Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks organized a Webinar on the topic ‘IPR Awareness Programme’ under National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission 2.0. In context of 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav highlighting ‘Creative India; Innovative India’, the webinar was held on February 13 that benefitted all the students and faculty members of the college.
The Special Guest and Keynote Speaker of the webinar was SRMS CET Alumnus, Rajneesh Pratap Singh, NIPAM officer & Examiner of Patents & Designs at Indian Patent Office New Delhi, CGPDTM, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt of India. The event began with the welcoming of the guest by Professor Dr LS Maurya, Principal, SRMS CETR. During his special address, Rajneesh Pratap Singh shared valuable insights and information related with Intellectual Property and utility of copyright, and informed about the need for patenting the research and tests in technical institutes. He said that researchers are doing a good job for getting patents in India, and there is a dire need to further guide their work in the right direction.
At the end of the program, Ruchi Shah, Assistant Professor, Basic Science thanked everyone for being a part of such knowledge-driven webinar.
