SRMS ENGINEERING & RESEARCH COLLEGE PAYS SOLEMN TRIBUTE TO PULWAMA MARTYRS; STANDS IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE NATION
In remembrance of the brave, the Literary Club of Student Club ‘Verve’ at SRMS College of Engineering, Technology & Research (CET&R), Bareilly organized a solemn tribute to the 40 brave CRPF soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, marking it as the ‘Black Day’ of India. The event aimed to remind students of the true value of freedom and the price paid to protect the nation.
The ceremony began with an address by Shikhar Mehrotra, B Tech 3rd year student, and the Literary Chairperson of the Verve Club, followed by a two-minute silence as a mark of deep respect and mourning. This was followed by Pushpanjali, where students and faculty paid floral tributes to the martyrs. A video showcasing the courage and hardships of the Indian Armed Forces deeply moved the audience. Arijit Bhatnagar, another B Tech CSE third-year student also shared a heartfelt message, urging everyone remain conscious of the sacrifices made by our armed forces and to never take freedom for granted.
The tribute concluded with the National Anthem, echoing a sense of pride, unity, solidarity and patriotism throughout the campus.
